Most Sauvignon Blanc that we see here in BC is from the Marlborough region which is located on the north end of the south island; this Matua Sauvignon Blanc hails from Hawkes Bay, on the east side of the north island. A somewhat herbal signature NZ style of grapefruit aromas, citrus and basil. This wine is lovely with light seafood dishes, white fish and veggie pastas.
