Meet The Team
Jennifer – Operations Manager
Jen joined Metro Liquor in 2018 to help open and manage the Tsawwassen location. Jen has been in the liquor industry and managing liquor stores since 2010. Prior to that, Jen was an ASL interpreter. Her favorite products are wine, wine, and more wine…with the odd vodka/soda now and again! Outside of work, you’ll find Jen on the mountain in the winter and spending as much time with her 2 sons as possible. Her best bud is Abby, Jen’s 8-year-old toy poodle, who you’ll find at our Tsawwassen location working hard as our little greeter!
Paula – Manager & Wine Purchaser (Tsawwassen)
Paula is the “wine geek” for the Tsawwassen Metro Liquor store. She brings many years of experience and wine knowledge to the selections chosen for the store. Paula has completed several levels of wine education with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), but she will tell you that the best learning came directly from international winemakers whom she had the privilege to work with over the years. Always one to try any wine, Paula’s choices on the shelves have proven to be great sellers!
Irene – Assistant Manager (Tsawwassen)
Irene is the Assistant Manager at Metro Liquor Tsawwassen and has been with Metro Liquor since the store opened in 2018. Her favourite product is Don Julio, a premium tequila. She is a former swimmer and soccer player, and, outside of work she loves cooking and entertaining, and also has a secret passion for stand-up comedy.
Erika – Craft Beer & Craft Cider Procurer (Tsawwassen)
Erika is the craft beer and cider buyer at Metro Liquor Tsawwassen and has been part of the team for the past two years. She has worked in the liquor industry for approximately 15 years, originally starting at a local liquor store for the perks—namely the staff discount on craft beer. In 2013, she launched her beer Instagram, @beermecanada, where she shares her “tasty notes” and reviews for all the new beers she tries. Outside of work, Erika enjoys creating art, primarily lino and block prints, as well as foraging for plants to use in natural textile dyes. She also enjoys spending time with her mini dachshund, Tansy.
Nancy – Manager
(Train Station)
Originally from Northern Manitoba, Nancy Saunders joined the Metro team in Saskatchewan in October 2018. Bringing an extensive background in restaurant and liquor store management, she transitioned to Kelowna in April 2021 to lead our Train Station location. Nancy is a true enthusiast of BC wines and craft beers, passions matched only by her love for the outdoors. When she’s not golfing, camping, or hanging out with her “fur-children”—Charlie, Tippy, and Piper—this self-proclaimed foodie and her daughter are likely hunting for the best local sweets.
Corey – Assistant Manager
(Train Station)
Corey Tingle serves as Assistant Manager at Metro Liquor Train Station, bringing a strong background in cooking and hospitality since joining in April 2024. He has a broad appreciation for whiskey, rum, craft beer, and wine. In his downtime, Corey enjoys exploring local restaurants and breweries, paddleboarding on the lake, and relaxing at home with video games.
Geoff – Senior Product Consultant
(Train Station)
Geoff has been with the company for 20 years and has achieved his WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 certification. He is a huge fan of local wines and international wines, especially Burgundy and Piedmont. One of his passions is cooking and pairing wines with meals, much to the delight of his wife Melody, to whom he has been married for 25 years as of this spring. He is also an avid Pokémon Go player.
Mark – Manager (Westside)
Mark is the Manager at Metro Liquor Westside and has been with the company since 2021. He brings a strong background in customer service and sales, having worked as a Realtor in Southern California for 20 years, as well as serving 12 years as a First Class in-charge flight attendant for CP Air. He enjoys all things wine, including red, white, and rosé, and also appreciates a tasty West Coast IPA. Outside of work, he loves the outdoors, including hiking and fishing, as well as cooking and all things culinary. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially at the local watering holes.
Bonnie – Manager (Westside)
Bonnie is the Assistant Manager of the Westside Store and joined the team in March 2025. She has been in the industry for 12 years, and her favorite products include wine, vodka sodas, and tequila. She is a mother of three and enjoys baseball, softball, camping, gardening, and spending time at the beach. She also loves reading, doing crafts, and spending time at the ball diamond cheering on her kids, as well as travelling whenever she gets the chance.
Ben – Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Ben joined Metro Liquor in early 2025 with a background in statistics and content creation. He is passionate about creating fun and engaging content for the stores, especially through Instagram and the Newsletters. He loves all things Beer, especially IPAs! Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, cooking up new recipes, listening to new music, and checking out local breweries or coffee shops.
Sandra – Controller
Sandra is the Controller at Metro Liquor. She started out studying biology but discovered she had a head for numbers and puzzles. She transitioned from doing bookkeeping part-time to working as an Accounting Assistant with the Boys and Girls Club, and in 2007 became Controller for Metro Liquor. In her 20s, she travelled and spent extensive time rock climbing, scuba diving, and skiing around the world before eventually settling down in Victoria. Outside of work, she loves reading science fiction and fantasy, and is obsessed with knitting, which she enjoys because it surprisingly involves a lot of numbers and puzzles.
Marc – Managing Partner
Marc has been Metro Liquor’s Managing Partner since founding the company with his business partner, Brent Peacock in 2005. Marc completed his MBA at the University of Victoria and his Advanced Sommelier Designation from ISG, meaning he can both run a business and correctly pronounce what’s in your wine glass. Outside of work, Marc can be found in Victoria or Palm Desert, often on his road bike, reading a good book by the pool, or traveling with his wife and family. You can bet that most of these “cultural” trips involve wine and vineyards.
Brent – Founding Partner
Brent has been a founding partner of Metro Liquor since the company’s inception in 2005. He is also the Vice President, Principal Insurance Advisor, and co-founder of the Peacock Sheridan Group, and has worked as an independent insurance and financial advisor since 1992. Born and raised in Kelowna, Brent takes full advantage of the Okanagan lifestyle. In the summer, you’ll often find him relaxing on Okanagan Lake. Brent and his family enjoy embracing island life and visit Hawaii each year to take in the spectacular scenery and chill vibe of the islands, to which they say—Aloha!
